This website provides educational information without asking you to create an account or submit your health history. This policy describes the current public education pages.
Google Analytics is off until you choose “Allow analytics.” Declining does not restrict access to this website. Use “Analytics privacy” at the bottom of any page to change your choice.
If allowed, Google Analytics receives visits to broad sections, such as the home page or guides section, plus fixed topic labels when you open guides or select educational categories, and standard device and connection information. Topics may include anxiety, depression, sleep, sexual health, or substance use. These choices can be sensitive. Google receives topic labels linked to analytics cookies; this is not anonymous research. We use grouped topic totals to improve education, not to infer diagnoses. One topic is counted at most once per page load, not once per person. Google processes requests from your browser, including its IP address, and uses analytics cookies to distinguish visits. This is not anonymous in the sense of sending no identifiers.
We do not deliberately send form answers, personal stories, search terms, query strings, URL fragments, referral URLs, or full condition-page URLs. Fixed topic labels are sent only for guide visits, withdrawal-page visits, and category selections. Crisis links and the emergency situation category are excluded from topic-interest events. Automatic enhanced measurement is disabled for this property. Advertising storage, advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in the site tag. No site account identifier is attached.
Previous analytics permission does not carry over: we ask again before collecting topic interests. Topic interest is not proof of reading, learning, or having a condition.
No AdSense ads are enabled at present. Your analytics permission is not permission for advertising. Before ads are introduced, this policy and the consent controls must explain the actual advertising providers, cookies, purposes, and choices. Non-personalized ads can still use cookies or other storage; they should not be described as tracking-free.
Our advertising policy keeps educational topic events separate from advertising audiences. Google provides information about advertising technologies and ad personalization controls.
External source and help links take you to other organizations with their own privacy policies. Read-aloud uses your browser or device voice service; some voices may use an online provider. This website does not record your microphone.
Your choice is stored in this browser’s local storage. Analytics cookies are configured to expire after 90 days; returning visits may renew them. Declining after allowing disables collection and removes the site’s accessible Google Analytics cookies, but does not erase data already received by Google. Clearing browser storage resets your choice. Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signals keep this tag off.
Browser blockers may prevent analytics even after you allow it. This page describes this site’s Analytics integration, not every operational log or cookie used by its hosting provider.
