This is an independently operated, free public-education project. Its purpose is to make mental health easier to understand, not to sell a diagnosis or treatment.
Current status: no AdSense ads are enabled. We are preparing the site for possible advertising support. This is not a claim of Google approval.
If advertising is introduced
- Ad placements will be clearly labeled “Advertisement.” An ad will not be presented as medical advice or an endorsement.
- Reading, listening, and help information will remain available without payment or an ad click.
- Crisis-help areas will stay ad-free. Ads must not resemble help buttons, interrupt listening, or cover the words people came to read.
- We will start with limited placements on suitable general-education pages, not automatic ads throughout sensitive material.
- Advertisers will not choose our medical explanations, sources, or corrections.
- Educational topic-interest events will not be used to create health-based advertising audiences.
Privacy before advertising
The existing analytics choice applies only to analytics. Before serving ads, we must configure the relevant advertising consent controls and disclose the providers and data they use. You can read the current privacy policy without accepting analytics.
What we do not claim
“Free public service” describes our purpose. It is not a claim of registered nonprofit status, tax-deductible donations, professional accreditation, or government endorsement. Source organizations do not sponsor this project simply because we link to their information.
Our priorities
Clear words. Useful examples. Easy access to help. Any funding approach should support those priorities, not make the site harder to use.
